Schuylkill River

About this Location

The Schuylkill River is one of the most active and dynamic rowing communities in the country, serving as home for over two dozen different rowing programs and hosting some of the largest and most prestigious regattas in the nation. Poised on the eastern bank of the river is the rowing community's beloved Boathouse Row, a community of several club boathouses instrumental to the social and recreational camaraderie on the Schuylkill. Rowers of all levels come to train on the river, accompanied by a flourishing Dragonboat presence. The Schuylkill is unique for its clockwise traffic pattern and for the gentle turn that comes about 650 meters in to its 2k course.
