Mary and Marcus are back for the fall season with their newest podcast. In this episode they break down their racing experience from the 2007 Head of the Charles.
Hey thanks for letting us know who the starter was. It definitely made the girls feel great to have that special recognition too. The Charles is one of the few chances we get to row for the home crowd and it pumps us up to know that fellow rowers appreciate what we are trying to accomplish for our sport and country.
It's always cool to be at a regatta where internationals are training; I was standing on the BU Bridge Saturday when Mahe Drysdale came under, and seeing World Champions race
always makes for a good time. Especially when they're wearing US unis. Good luck with the lead-up to Beijing, can't wait to see what you guys can do.

I was volunteering at the start on Sunday; the starter for the Champ 8+ was Bill Becklean, the cox of the '56 Yale 8+. It was a pretty emotional moment in the office as well, and it's fitting to know that that helped your boat through your race. Seeing the national team boats come through the chute was one of the highlights of the regatta weekend.
