This month on the podcast Mary & Marcus interview Katelin Snyder, the coxswain for the U.S. Women's U-23 boat. They talk about the differences between coxing men and women and what it takes to make the jump from collegiate coxing to the National Team.

Hey Everyone,
I thought I would elaborate on this months podcast. Like Sean said in the intro, Marcus and I talk with up and coming coxing star, Katelin Snyder from the University of Washington. Katelin tells all from best race ever to how she keeps her eight oared shell straight and most importantly how to earn your seat in a boat. For the past 3 years Katelin has had to adapt from entering her freshman year, attending her first summer selection camp, earning a seat on a varsity team and coming back and defending her seat in the Women’s Under 23 eight. I feel like a lot of coxswains out there can identify with what Katelin is doing right now. She is making her way in the coxing world and hopefully you will get a glimpse of what the process is like for rookie coxswains making their way into the big leagues. If you have any questions or comments send them to coxpodcast@gmail.com.
Marcus and I are going to try and produce a podcast while we are over in Munich so watch out for that too. Ok, catch you later--mw
