Way past time for an Update

Well, its been a while since I last updated everyone. I got out of the habit since we were regularly updating the Four-o-meter, but now that it is still in hibernation, I think its time to let readers know what has been going on with this guy. Let me sum up.

We left the training center on a beautiful day to head up to wintry Seattle. I did get to see some of my former Princeton teammates in Seattle. They've been making a living digging ditches for the US government, and have been up and down the west coast in the past year. I was lucky that they were able to take time out of their busy schedule in order to hang out with me.

After an extremely long red eye flight back to the Buff I was able to relax for a night with my family and celebrate my Great Uncle's 90th birthday. When the party was over I drove my brother back to his dorm room and had the chance to confiscate all of the things that he stole from me while I was away. The next morning I had a harrowing drive back to Princeton. I was hoping to make it back for our evening practice, although midway though the drive I was seriously doubting the possibility of that happening. It seemed as though nature was not going to let it happen. I passed through two severe white out blizzards. In fact, one section of 81 was closed just before Binghamton so I had to detour through local roads. I barely made it over to Mercer that night.

Then it was back to the grind. We had A VO2 test to prep for and since we were going to be frozen in for a while, it would be ergs for a bit. Yesterday was the testing day for most of us. We brought in a specialist from Ohio who came with a whole host of new torture devices. Our friend Dr. Fritz brought a new mask with him for us to use during our 2k. Now, if you think that 2k's are no fun, or even if you think that they're fun, wait until you try it with the mask on. You begin to face a whole different level of suck. During the test it feels as if you're getting your air through a straw. And, once done you get to sit still for 5 minutes while all of the lactic acid pools in your body so that they prick your finger and draw some blood. With that all over, we packed up and got a chance to take a spin in the 4- (In freezing rain I might add). Which brings us to today. It's a beautiful day. The sun is warm, all the snow is melting and I read about how Hillary is not going to win the Democratic nomination. I would say that the week is shaping up nicely.
