Mike Teti reads the Four-O-Meter
Hello Four-O-Meter Fans!!!!! DWalsh dropping in to say hello from our training trip in the wonderful city of Seattle. Now the weather might not be that fantastic, the water may have a wake or white cap too many at times, but the hospitality and support we have been shown while here has been tremendous.
As you may have heard the straight four rowing has been placed on hiatus while we are here in Seattle. The focus of this trip is to row some eights, ease the great Bryan Volpenhein out of retirement, and see what Chris Liwski (or as his public knows him "Boobie Treats") has been doing in the tanks back in Boston.
After we got to experience the University of Washington's great tradition, Ham n' Eggers (Takeit211 is so far undefeated for the past two years), we found out that the one and only MIKE TETI is a reader of the Four-O-Meter. You could not imagine the joy and rapture we felt that our very own coach cares enough about his athletes, that he checks the internet for their progress. He even told us today what it’s going to take to make the MOJO in the Four-O-Meter reach Teti Smiles.
So to sum things up we just want to let you all know that rowing is still the sport where even the novices get to experience the same things that the elites do. That’s right, the U.S Olympic coach reads the same stories, comments, and posts that all of us have come to love.
Again thank you to the University of Washington, NRF, the City of Seattle, and all of our host families for making this a productive and fun training trip.
