The Androscoggin River is a 178 mile-long stretch of riverway which flows across parts of New Hampshire and western Maine. The Androscoggin covers roughly a 1000 foot decline in elevation from its headwaters to its drainage into the Atlantic Ocean, making it a particularly swift-moving river, ideal for industrialization and recreation.
