Cooke's Cuts - Feburary

With lakes frozen and snow piled high, new music is the only salvation for the winter erging blues. This month brings fun remixes to some old classics including hits by Hellogoodbye, Fatboy Slim and the Basement Jaxx. In honor of Valentine's Day, celebrate with some Sexual Healing.   Arguably the best track on the album, Prodigy gives us a very explosive song with tons of high and lows. Just like a good piece, it starts slow, building energy, until it blasts wide open with a fitful beat drop that fires as hard as the lactic acid in your legs. Somewhere near the middle, a wailing voice, maybe even your own, slows you down just long enough to catch your breath, before the pounding rhythm strikes again, taking you home.
